Manners Matter

A few years ago, Tess and I were in Family Christian Bookstore when I noticed a book cover that caught my attention. So, I asked Tess to turn around and tell me if any of the books on the adjacent bookshelf popped-out at her? She saw it. This sweet little girl on the cover of this book made us laugh so hard. The picture, in my opinion, captures the essence of all children who are completely disheartened by the word "NO". NO leads to prolonged pouting and downright selfish surliness. The word NO sometimes compels us to fell that life just isn't fair and lead to endless questioning.

Why does Johnny get to have ice cream and I can't?

Why can't I have a cell phone?

Well, why is it that Carlos got a raise?

Why, Why, Why???

And of course the answer to these questions; Well at least the first two are.............Yeah you got it right!!! BECAUSE I SAID SO!

Which in the end, only perpetuates that dreaded frown that we have on our faces.

That's why it is so important to teach our children and sometimes our adult friends, how important it is to share, obey our parents and exercies good manners beause....

MANNERS do MATTER

Now go wipe that frown off yo face foe I give you somethin' to frown about!!!
