My Favorite Things #4: Care Bears Care!!!

I absolutely love many of the cartoons that I grew up on. One of my favorite cartoons was The Care Bears. Move over Teddy Ruxpin, these guys were the original story-telling bears. And oh, don't even think about ruining their day. The would all gang up on you and head to the hill to kick your tail. Do you remember the Care Bear Stare??? They'd literally beat you down with love. We crazy humans could probably learn a thing or two from them about how to treat each other.

A few years after the Care Bears originally introduced themselves to us, we found out that they had cousins. The Care Bear cousins were actually much cooler than the originals. Of course, everybody's favorite had to be Brave Heart Lion. Besides, if you were a boy, what other Care Bear would you wan tot be. Nothing's cooler than a lion.

So a few weeks back, one of my coworkers, Julie, brought her favorite childhood stuffed animal to work. It was no other than Brave Heart Lion. No doubt, this girl really loved her Care Bear. He looked as if he'd literally walked out her life with her. He was pretty much a shell of his former self. But hey, you never forsake old friends do you? He had to be at least 20 years old.

Thanks Julie for bringing back those feeling of nostalgia. Classic!!
