A Wave Offering

A couple of weeks ago, we were successfully able to teach Madison how to wave goodbye and hello. Really, it's neither, but they both serve the same purpose. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get her to clap just yet. I mean, she can take our hands and put them together and take them apart again, but doesn't quite grasp the concept of performing the same act with her own hands.

As a result, this kid now waves ALL DAY LONG!!! She wakes up waving at us. She waves in the day and she waves in the night. She is now a professional waver. She may be on her way to perfecting the waves that have graced the wrists and arms of many a beauty queen. So what better way to show her how to use her gift than to makes sure she knows that when times get tough and you don't know what to say, you can just wave your hands to the Lord and that act of praise let's God know that you're still hanging in there, even though you don't know what to say.

Other than that, you can just keep on waving because that's what babies and children do. Next thing you know, she'll be learning to read, wearing us out trying to pronounce street names she sees while riding in the car. So not looking forward to that. She'll be sounding like Morgan Freeman trying to read Bauer on deceased person's headstone on Driving Miss Daisy.

It's about time you put out a post. I just love our little girl and her new found wave.

I was so happy to see my Sugarplum today. She actually made my entire day. Before you guys came over I felt like I was just washed out. But upon your arrival the sight of my best God given gift made my spirits soar. Thanks to both of you for making my day.

Look at the royal wave !

The next thing you know, she'll be riding in the backseat of the car waving at passing cars (LOL).

Oh please don't remind me that she will be waving at people passing by. My how I always feel out of place when I am waving at little kids.
