Say No!!! To Drunk Driving!

I am very sorry to say, that our beloved daughter was arrested on DWI charges. We as parents have failed miserably. She was also charged with resisting arrest. We knew that she'd been acting funny for the past few weeks and suspected that she was being influenced by her peers at daycare the couple of times a week that she goes. Apparently some of the older toddlers have been pedaling cough syrup laced with codeine and the little people have been spiking their bottles of formula. Watch out everybody!!!!

Well, anyway, because she was resisting the arrest, 5-0h had to take her down pretty hard, noting in the police report, "She was a feisty little booger". As a result, she had a bruised nose and a slightly busted lip. LOL

On more of a serious note, I went to pick her up at daycare and the caregivers informed me that she lost her balance and hit her face on the table. OUCH!! Nothing too severe as she didn't feel any pain. Her nose wasn't sore and there were no deep lacerations of any kind. Kinda glad I was the one picking her up, because her mom (or any mom for that matter) would have completely flipped out. I always try to temper things of this nature by asking myself if the same thing could have happened at home. Thank goodness we don't have a coffee table because I'm sure she would have had a few meetings with that thing already.

So, it took a couple of days for the scars to disappear and everything was fine, but she sure did look beaten up the day it happened.
