See that blob that I have circled in Red. Well that's the tumor. As you can see it has eaten away some of the bone on my sacrum. It's also pressed up against my spinal cord. It just so happens that it's pressing my sciatic nerve causing the numbness in my leg.
So, in a few weeks I'll have to have surgery to remove this thing. Right now, it looks as if it's noncancerous. The docs will have to send it off to be biopsied to know for sure. This is my very first surgery and as you could imagined, I'm not too thrilled about it. Not only do they have to remove the tumor, but I have to have some screws and stuff attached to my sacrum to make up for the bone that has been eaten away by this thing to stabilize my spine. So of course, we're praying for a smooth and easy repair of my body. Please pray for us as this will be hard on my wife being that we have a small child who will always want to be picked up and played with by her daddy.
I'm pretty ticked because I won't be able to fulfill my goal of losing 15 pounds in 15 weeks like I hoped, although I'm sure to drop of few pounds from not wanting to eat.
Outside of the surgery, I'm not looking forward to all the junk that comes along with it. I'm fully aware that pain will be involved, but having the breathing tube stuck down my throat, getting stuck with an IV bother me. Lord forbid if I need a freakin' catheter. No way.... God help me. I really hope I don't need a catheter. I probably would cry then.

You know what I think about the prayer thing, but I am going to send one up for you, in case I am wrong.
