Stomach Bug

Sunday, Madison woke up and ate some Malt-O-Meal like she does almost every other morning. I picked her up to take her to the sink to wash her hands and I heard her little stomach rumbling. Next thing I know, she starts puking all over herself and me. I was just thinking that she had gotten hold to some bad milk. Well, the puke just kept on coming. She eventually went to sleep and took an early morning nap. Maybe whatever this is will pass soon. Well as soon as she arose from her nap, she goes at it again. No we were starting to get concerned. So as usual, we go online to try to see what's the deal and a couple of sites suggest that if she starts throwing up bile, then we should take her to the ER.

Well, we took her to the ER and took a sample of the green stuff in a zip lock baggie. They give her some Zofran (anti-nausea medication) and instantly she's back to normal. So this was quite a scare, but kids get stomach bugs all the time I guess. The only thing was, she hasn't been to daycare in a few weeks, so we have no idea where get got the bug. She's much better now.

Oh gosh, I totally missed this post. I didn't know you guys had to take her to the ER. I'm so sorry. It's no fun and very scary!

I pray that everyone is well in your home now.
