Hospital Jugs and Toddler Water

The day I came home from the hospital Miss Jones became obsessed with my water jug. More than likely she took a liking to it because of the massive straw that protrudes out of it. Surprisingly, we've never had an issue with her drinking water at all. But, to our chagrin, she loves it even more drinking it from a straw. So I have officially given it to her. She can drink a full pitcher of water in less than a day. We just have to watch her to make sure she doesn't take the straw out and drink directly from the spout. That creates quite a clean-up.

Another thing I want to mention here is how much talking and noise making she makes these days. I have to admit that this is the most fun time during a child's life. The next few years could prove me wrong. She pretty much sleeps through the night and can somewhat tell you what they need. Now here comes all he dancing and words to go along with their new found freedom both in physicalness and attitude. Here are a list of words and phrases that she utters on a daily basis. I'm interested to see how many I list.
  1. Oh No!
  2. No
  3. Yes
  4. Sock
  5. Shoes
  6. Head
  7. Eye
  8. Ear
  9. Nose
  10. Belly
  11. Hi
  12. Bye
  13. Hello
  14. Love
  15. Thank You
  16. Bless You
  17. Amen
  18. yrr gg ggg (Yo Gabba Gabb) Guess this one doesn't count!! lol

  22. Mommy
  23. Daddy
  24. Backpack

  26. Eat

  28. kick
  29. gorilla
  30. One

  33. Four
  34. Red
  35. Blue
  36. Alright
  37. I'm Cool
  38. Hold Still
  39. Bird

I'm sure I'm missing a few. It's amazing how quickly their vocabulary expands. It's also pretty awesome how many words they understand, but haven't quite gotten up the nerve to say. For instance, she knows what a hug, kiss or close the door means, but has never truly verbalized any of these words. We can't wait for what the future holds for our little person.
