A Gesture of Kindess at Los Lupes Mexican Restaurant

Feeling Blessed!
On Sunday after church, we went to my favorite Mexican restaurant, Los Lupes for lunch.  It's fairly cheap and you get more than what you pay for, in my opinion.  Because we went to the 9AM service, we got there kinda early, so were weren't sure if lunch was served yet.  Luckily, it was.  As usual, I ordered the #17, Sour Cream Enchiladas.  Man, it sure did hit the spot.
While Mrs. Jones and I chatted I brought up something that we've been talking about for a while.  God has blessed us to live a comfortable life and we believe that it is our duty to share what we have with others.  Me have wanted a personal family ministry that we could call our own.  We love good food and we decided that once a month when we go out to eat, that we would bless another couple or family with a free meal on us.....anonymously.

Today would be our first of many opportunities to secretly bless someone and hopefully let them know how much they are loved by God.  And for those who may already be believers, possibly affirm their faith.

We chose a family of four.  Two adults and 2 twin boys no older than two years old.  We made sure the waitress did not tell them who it came from.  When were got up from our table, one of the waitresses handed up a folded up napkin and she said it was from the couple.

This is what it said.

Funny thing is, my ex-boss and her husbands' name were Sam and Claudia. Who knew?  They also left their phone number.  My hope and prayer is that people will come to know our Father more through this act of worship that we have purposed in our heart.  Lord knows there have been many a time where we could have done more with what has been given to us.  I am ashamed of the countless times that I've felt the Holy Spirit speak to me about doing something benevolent and I just quelled His voice with my business.  Our life, nor our possessions really belong to us and we personally plan to do a better job.

I don't expect that I will be posting any more of our anonymous giving stories unless something extra ordinary happens that I can't help but share.  Hopefully I have said something to may inspire others to do the same as we have or something that is unique and all your own.  God Bless you as you share your time and belongings with others to make this world a better place.  As I leave you, I'd like to share a beautiful post that our blog friend Nicolle wrote a few weeks back before going to Hawaii for some much needed relaxation. I am taking a little computer break for a few days, but wanted to check in here first. You have me in tears. First, by your post. Then I went back and read my post that you linked up to, and I cried again! :))

What an awesome example of love and giving that you and Tess shared by buying their lunch. To me, that is how we spread hope, and God's word!

BLESS YOUR SWEET LITTLE FAMILY!!!

I often struggle with whether to post when I feed the hungry. I encourage you to keep posting. I don't see it as bragging or anything like that at all. I know you didn't say that, but just wanted you to know I feel as if it inspires more people to give. You inspired me even more today! Thank you! BEAUTIFUL POST!
