My Number 1 Pet Peeve

Comin' Down Your Lane
Yo!  Although this doesn't affect me in any way at all, it still makes me cringe a little bit.  All the same it bugs me a little when I see couples sit on the same side of a table when they are seated at a booth.  I mean, what's the point?  If I'm out on a date with you, I want to look at your face and not the side of your head.  And guess what, I'm not the only one.  The people at GetAnnoyed.com agree with me.

A little more than a year ago, we had lunch at Olive Garden and I saw this phenomena to the 3rd power.  There was a family of 3 all scrunched up on the same side of the table.  What's worse is the face that they barely have enough room.  When shoulders begin to overlap shoulders, then it's time for somebody to move to the other side of the table.
Yeah, I had to discreetly snap the photo so noone would notice.  Also, if you decide to take photo's of unsuspecting strangers with your phone, please remember to turn the flash off.  You would be soooo busted if you forgot to turn it off.  The risk/reward is the fact although you might have a horrible picture, you're more likely to get away with it.

Yeah, I know that some people just like to be close to each other.  I love being close to Mrs. Jones, but I would prefer to sit across the table from her in a booth or in the chair next to her at a table.  But I have to admit, it looks even more awkward when the people sitting side-by-side aren't communicating at all.

Well, regardless of how you sit when you're out to eat, I still love ya.  Even if I think you're a little throwed off.  :o)

Forgive me for sitting side by side with Bev, and I'll forgive you for worrying about stuff that doesn't affect you and for taking pics in a restaurant. Good read as usual though.
