Playin in The Sprinklers

We decided to let Misses Jones play outside in the sprinklers mid-morning on Saturday. She absolutely loves the miniature sprinkler park that they have at her school. So after Mrs. Jones arrived home from her errands, we threw on her swim suit and headed outside.

Oh wait! I forgot. Before we headed out, mommy sun-screened our little yellow child down. Well, in the process they were playing around because mommy was tickling her. I guess Misses Jones got a little TOO excited and hauled off and bit mommy on the shoulder. Like seriously broke the skin. Needless to say, we DO NOT DO BITING and as a result mommy brought the heat.... We don't think she meant to bite her because we never really have to deal with that. Anyway, about three minutes later Misses Jones was back to normal and ready to go.

For whatever reason, she was a bit hesitant to play in the water because she said it was cold. So I picked her up and ran her through the sprinklers. It didn't take long for her to start having fun.

And as usual, any activity that requires water, requires us to pull out her Rain-Brella as she calls it. Boy, did she think she was cute then.

Uh, as far as the high-water socks are concerned, I had just but down some stuff for insects in the hard the day before.  We're trying to get rid of all these spiders and the insects that they feed on.  So to be extra safe, I wanted to make sure she had on something that would cover her feet and legs.

After about 35 minutes, she had had enough.  She was ready to go inside.  So we went in the house, I put her in the bathtub and she started going to sleep while I washed her hair.  Usually, Mrs. Jones fixes her hair immediately after her hair is washed to avoid having to deal with tangled hair later on.  There was really no way around it this time, so this is how we left her.  It's times like this that makes it worth it to finally own a home.

That last picture is adorable, a keeper of a photo, for sure! I LOVE her socks, and was wondering why she had them on, until I saw your explanation. Pretty smart idea. All of the pictures are so cute here.

Boyd doesn't love sprinklers too much b/c he panics with water in his face. I wish that didn't bother him so much!
