Ms. Jacquelynn

Good ole' Mrs. Jacquelynn.  Possibly the sweetest, most genuine woman I've ever met in my life.

A few years back when I started serving in children's ministry, I was instantly drawn to her spirit.  She always thinks the best of others and is always there with an encouraging word.    More than anything, when you share your heart with her, she never judges.  She simply loves.

It had been a while since we last saw her and we always wonder about where she's at and what she's doing.  One Sunday me and the kids went to church while Mrs. Jones stayed home and rested.  So while I was in service, I scanned across the crowd, and to my surprise, there she was.  So, I caught up with her in the parking lot and introduced her to the kids.  I told her that Mrs. Jones would not believe that I saw her and that she would hate to miss seeing her.  So, I told her I had to take a picture of her and send it to Mrs. Jones.

What's really funny is that when I take pictures with my camera, there's this horrible delay after you trigger the shutter as the camera focuses.  Nevertheless,, I feel like the camera captured the essence of who she is.  As always, she's blowing kisses and throwing up the sign for love.

Thank God for people who cross your path that show you a little more how to love.  How to forgive. How to judge less.  How to hope more.  How see past social or economic status.  How to see past the color of a persons skin or demeanor.  How to pray more.  How to be a good friend. How to be more meek. How to be more authentically like our Father in Heaven.

Thanks Jacquelynn for being our big sister and for sharing your loving spirit with us.
