Okay, I've been getting a ton of emails and threats as to why I haven't updated the blog since the end of last month. I have been super stressed over my job. My 90 day review was quickly approaching and I was anxious to find out if my company would decide to hire me permanent or send me packing.
Unfortunately, they decided to let me go on Monday of last week. What I thought would be a developmental opportunity turned out to be a combination of my lack of experience mixed with the company underestimating what they needed. So as a result, they gave me a very nice severance to help me out while I look for another job. I think that was extremely nice of them considering we have a newborn and I put together a good chuck of their technical documentation. All in all I still learned a lot. So, I'm back on the grind of looking for a new PERMANENT job.
I was so for sure that this was the perfect opportunity. See post The Thrill of JavaVictory from June 17th, 2008. So I'm left with quite a few questions.
God was it just your plan to give me a taste of what my future career holds?
Was this an opportunity for me to spend some additional PTO with my wife and daughter?
I'm not sure, but I still trust HIM and I won't give up on the path that I have decided to take. Thanks to all of your for your empathy and kind words as this has truly been a bittersweet year. No matter what I always know that after the rain, the SON will shine!!!
