Last night around 10:30, Madison takes a bottle and as usual, I assume that she's done for the night. This seemed appropriate on yet another night where she barely napped throughout the day. Well, she decides that she's not going to sleep just yet. So, I'm like, "No, No, No Homegirl. You're going to bed.". So I go and lay her in the Pack N' Play bassinet next to our bed like we do every night. I'm hoping and praying that she goes to sleep on her own in the dark like she does 1 out of every 8 times that I do this. Well she gets to whining a little bit and I tell Tess to just let her cry for a couple of minutes before we go in there to get her. As she proceeds to cry a little louder, I go and open the bedroom door, and guess what I see....
Our little girl standing up in the bassinet with her hands on the side rails. So I stand next to her and call out to her mom so she can see what her daughter has done. I'd hate for her to have missed this moment. I even thought for a split second to tell her to get the camera to catch this momentous, yet dangerous occasion, but again this was a little too dangerous. Our little girl pulled up to a stand all on her own for the first time.
Needless to say, for the rest of the evening I was a little jittery just thinking about what would have happened if I had not gone into the bedroom when I did. What if she never made a sound and just kept on standing in the bassinet. She would have surely tried to get out of it. Thank you God for sparing us from what could have been a disasterous experience.
So, tonight we are moving the crib into our room. No more unsupervised bassinet sleeping anymore.

Oh my goodness...
I knew that peanut butter & jelly sandwich would start something(LOL). Your baby daughter is more interested in discovering the world like Christopher Columbus !
She apparently isn't interested in taking "no" for an answer.
