WOW! |
My wife's grandmother sent me this camera. I'm not sure how she got it, but she decided to send it to me because she thought that I might know what to do with it. Also, in the case that I didn't want it, she thought that I could just give it to Madison to play with. Instantly, I was like WOW! What are the chances that this thing still worked. It even had a roll of film still in it. Instantly, I knew that this was no toy camera. Besides, it is way too heaven for Madison to play with.
Come to find out, this camera was produced between 1969 and 1976. That means that it's literally older than I am. You cannot even use the same mercury based battery that the camera originally used. This was also the first 35 mm range finder camera with spot metering to assist the user with getting the correct exposure.
I have had the camera for about 2 months and have not gotten a chance to use it yet. I first have to get a roll of film and compatible battery.
As far as the roll of film that was in the camera, I'm really interested to know what's on it. What decade are the pictures from. I would trip out if there are people with afros or jheri curls on this roll of film. I'm also hesitant to get the pictures developed because there could be some shady pictures on it as well. I would hate to have to prove my innocence if something inappropriate were on the film. Decisions, decisions. What do you think I should do? Also, please share if you've had any experience with one of these type of cameras from back in the day.

What a cool camera! I know nothing about it though. :(
You should totally take the film in to be developed. You can just say, this is a really old roll of film and we have no idea what's on it. I think it will be ok! Would be so fun to find out what's on it.
