She Loves Her Some Him

Whew!  It's been a while since I've last posted.  There's so much to catch up on.  We've finally moved a few weeks ago, Mr. Jones Jr. is 6 weeks old, I have a new job and we're finally starting to settle into a routine. With all the stuff going on, along with every other night being consumed with NBA Playoffs, it's been kinda hard to get onto the computer.  So I'm finally back.

Okay, so the reason for this post. Misses Jones absolutely loves her new little brother.  She even calls his name in a sing-song kind of a voice.  It's kinda cute because she made it up all by herself.  We wondered before he was born if she'd be the jealous or overly helpful type of sibling.  Thankfully, she chose to be our over zealous little helper.

She literally can't keep her hands off him.   So we spend most of our time reminding her not to touch the baby's face, don't lean on him too hard, let his hand go, stop touching his feet, don't shake his bassinet, leave his binky alone, etc.  You know exactly what I'm talking about if you've ever been in our position.  Now we really know what our friend Jill goes through with her precious two year old and infant daughter.

On the other hand, there are some tender precious moments.  On occassion, she will spontanteously tell him that she loves him.  She only tells us when we tell her that we love her.  She runs to comfort him whenever he cries.  She also gives him kisses goodnight on his forehead after our night time prayers.

About two weeks ago, I finally got the camera out and started shooting again.  Just haven't had much time as of late.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot to share this.  Misses Jones loves taking photos nowadays, but for some reason, she hates it when I take photos of her brother.  So, she'll stand between me and the camera and use herself or her hand to shield me away from him, like I'm the papparazzi or something and she's his bodyguard.  lol.  She gets on my nerves.

I think this was the first time we let her hold him by herself.  Mr. Jones Jr. is an actual cry baby.  Really!  So it doesn't take much to get him riled up, so I had to work quickly.  You'll see.

He's piping up right now.

He's really riled up now.  His big sister is doing all she can to calm him down, but nothing is working.

Here's one morning where she came and got in bed with him.  And no, they do not sleep in our bed on a regular basis.  Mommy was gone to a meeting, I had gotten up to start moving around and I had just fed him and laid him down in our bed.  I'm done defending ourselves now.

More to come soon.  I just felt the need to crank something out real quick.
