Living To Make Your Name High

I love the music ministry of Hillsong. They are responsible for penning and producing many of the last decades most sung praise and worship music. From "Shout To The Lord" to "I Give You My Heart" to "Hosanna". I just love how they capture the essence of how I personally feel about The Lord in very personal normal language. Don't get me wrong, I find endless truth in the hymns I grew up singing, but quite honestly, I don't speak to God that way.

Anyway, in an effort to fill our home with the goodness of God and to create an atmosphere of holiness we play a lot of "church" music. Especially in the mornings before Dora and Yo Gabba Gabba come on..lol. And yes, Yes, we do listen to other genre's of music as long as it's' clean, loving and meaningful. One day a couple of years ago I came across this song skimming through Hillsong United's "This Is Our God Album" and I actually enjoyed the production of it. It's called "Your Name High". I like to "rock out" every now and then.

So, I found the video and Misses Jones got hooked. Our little worshiper quickly raised her hands and started singing...Whoa-O-Ohhh-Ooo-whoa-O-O. She also likes to repeat after the guy talking at the beginning of the video..... Especially when he says "Chuch" in his Australian accent.

Here she is pretended to play the piano and raising her hands in worship. So Funny! And yes, I do stick my bird chest out like a proud father.
